Splash A tall figure was combing his teal hair back with the water he had scooped up from a small pool of water. He wasn’t bathing or anything, just fixing his hair a little so it was up in its rebellious looking style. Kai ran his ‘clawed’ fingers through his hair a few times, careful not to scrape his scalp with the sharp blades. He stepped back from the water’s edge to look at himself fully. Bright blue eyes scowled back at Kai as he observed his appearance. Anyone could be intimidated by his appearance at the first look. He was wearing loose black pants and dark brown traveler boots all scuffed up and muddy. He wasn’t wearing a shirt, like usual, showing off his muscular frame, but he had brought along a small jacket just in case he needed it. A metal chain hung around his neck like always and his hands were armed with his favorite weapon he liked to call his claws. Each finger had a sharp claw-like blade to it.
He turned away from the water, not wanting to look at his reflection for too long. He wasn’t like his siblings Pride and Envy who were always fussing over their looks. He could care less on how he looked as long as he could look intimidating. It was entertaining to see the terrified looks of his victims before they were killed. It was the only real way he could get through his life without dieing from boredom. Talking just wasn’t his thing. Kai picked up his small bag, which held a canteen and a few other things, and threw it over his shoulder so it hung loosely on his back as he gripped the string with his right hand. Traveling was painfully boring for the sin know as Wrath until he met those who were dumb enough to try and mug him. Elvin bandits who thought they were a challenge for Wrath of the Seven Sins. It was like they were spitting in his face saying he was at their level. He was way above those lower beings.
Anger rising, Kai punched the nearest wall, stone cracking under his fist. The metal covering his knuckles had protected his flesh from being punctured by the jagged rocks, but it mattered little to the Sin. The action did, however, make a loud echoing sound in the cave. He looked up to see the dark stone ceiling above him, scowl deepening. Kai needed to get through here fast so he could find a worthy opponent for himself. Never since his ‘birth’ had he found an elf that was even close to his level of fighting power. Perhaps he just wasn’t looking in the right places? He knew he couldn’t go against the famous big shots because Envy was always telling him not to expose them. That just made him even angrier knowing there was stronger people in this world. He was always told to be patient, but patience wasn’t really his thing.

Maybe because there was something eerily comforting about the caves, despite the fact it seemed almost as if a thief could jump out from around the corner at any moment. Really, Artemeir would do best to keep his guard up. He frowned at the thought, while he was a decent fighter, it wasn't as if he lived to fight. There were other things in life he much preferred doing, yet fighting seemed to be all he had the time for lately. Baddon had stayed behind today, he trusted Artemeir could take care of himself. And for once, the great wyvern was tired. He'd turned in early and decided to sleep most the day away.
Artemeir continued to make his way through the winding paths of the caves, listening quietly to the dripping of water off the rocks. He half felt as if he was searching for something, but what exactly? He didn't bother lingering on the question, allowing his mind to wander a bit more freely. However, a sudden sound stopped him. A strike, the crunch of rock, the rattling of stones shifting and tumbling downward before tapping against the ground. Something had knocked into the wall? And hard too from the sounds of it. He narrowed his eyes, reaching to take the hilt of his sword tight in his hand as he crept forward, listening close. The way the sound bounced off the wals of the cavern, it was difficult to tell just where the noise originated from.
It didn't take long for the blue haired man to come into view. Arte stopped where he was at, taking half a step back to conceal himself behind a wall, examining him. He didn't look familiar. But then, it wasn't as if he knew every single subject in his kingdom. There was certainly something off about him though. The glint of his bladed fingers caught his eye and he quirked a brow, confused. He'd never seen anything quite like that before. Had he grafted metal into his flesh? It sounded like a painful process. The man must have been a fighter. And an angry one, from his tense stance. The chip in the stone wall beside him made it clear he was the one that had caused the noise before.
Casually Artemeir stepped out from his hiding place, lids halfway over his eyes as he gave the man a slight frown, hand resting lightly on his blade. He stood confident, but relaxed. There was no need to approach the other with hostility. "Bad day?" |

Kai lifted his hand away from the crack wall when he saw an elf come into view. At first he thought it was just a random traveler. Then the sin noticed his clothes looked a bit more expensive than any normal traveler. Plus he wasn’t traveling with a beast like most elves did. He notice the sword on the mans hip and realized that he must have thought, or been, strong enough to walk around by himself. Kai’s anger dissipated for the time being as the new comer talked. At first the teal haired sin didn’t say anything, his scowling bright blue eyes studying the other man. He had a certain aura around him that told Kai he was different than your average elf. He wouldn’t kill the man just yet so he could see just who he was. Kai dropped his bag and looked at the cracked wall.
“Guess you could say that. Then again, I always seem to have a bad day.” Kai said looking back at the man. There was a long pause again. Kai really didn’t know what to say because, like mentioned before, he really wasn’t a talker. Most of the people he came across were killed even before they could say anything, let alone strike up a conversation. The only beings he really only talked too was his siblings, but they always seemed to piss him off. Everything seemed to piss Kai off. “Who are you?” He asked a bit roughly, eyes narrow. He really didn’t know how to ask the man his name any other way. Kai had a feeling he’d want to remember the name.
This was unusual for the bloodthirsty male sin. He never wanted to know peoples names, it was too much of a bother if they were going to end up dead. He really didn’t even call his siblings by their cover names and always called them by their sin names. That, too, was too much of a bother since his siblings annoyed the hell out of him. “ I am Wr- Kai.” Luckily he stopped himself short before he told the other man his real identity. Envy would have surly yell at him if he had blown their cover. He hated it when she was acting all in charge just because she was born a head of him. Kai even looked older than his sister which probably made her envious. Then again she was always envying over things other people had.

He wasn't responding. The man just stood there, analyzing him. He must not have expected anyone else to be around. A single brow rose as the man's bag hit the ground with a thud, his eyes drifting to the damaged rock behind him. This man was confusing, was he going to answer or wasn't he? Did he not realize he'd hit the wall that hard before? Or maybe he was unhappy that someone had seen.
"Guess you could say that." Finally, he was speaking. "Then again, I always seem to have a bad day." Artemeir smirked, giving a gentle shrug of his shoulders. What a negative guy. He wouldn't push to ask what had happened to put him in such a sour mood. It wasn't his business, and honestly, he couldn't care less. "Who are you?" Arte was surprised, though it didn't show. He didn't know? How could he not? Most everyone was able to recognize him straight away as the king. Dark Elves and Light Elves alike. "I'm Wr- Kai." Artemeir nodded politely. He was making up a name and just about slipped. He'd caught that.
"Artemeir. It's a pleasure." |
He didn't introduce himself as king, he had no desire to come across as haughty or arrogant, and honestly he detested the title anyhow. If he could be just "Arte" for a few minutes, then he would be. "Try not to take too much out on the wall, there. The rock is sturdy, but your punches seem capable of causing a cave in." He smiled slightly, hoping to reassure "Kai" that he wasn't there to bring him any sort of trouble. However, his gaze slipped down to the bag at the man's feet, curious. He was tempted to ask just what he was doing here, what was in the bag, how he was able to hit the wall so damn hard, and how he could possibly not recognize the king. But he held his tongue. The less he aggravated the man the better. Maybe one question wouldn't hurt. "Are you from around here, Kai? It's rather strange that I don't recall seeing you before. I have a decent enough memory."[/style] [style= font-family: courier new; font-size: 7pt; line-height: 8px; color: #746d6d; text-transform: uppercase; text-align: center; background-color: #dedfdf; border-top: #516A95 solid 1px; border-bottom: #516A95 solid 1px; margin-bottom: 3px;] WORDS • enough | TAG • wrath | NOTES • --- CREDIT • MADE BY RAVENAL OF OTE. Kai looked at the wall when Artemeir mentioned the place caving in. It was true that his earth powers helped cause the huge crack in the wall. He looked back at the other man trying to think were he had heard the name Artemeir before. Was it one the people his sister mentioned not to get involved with? He was only paying half attention when she was talking so he couldn’t really remember what she had said. The teal haired man placed his hands in his pockets casually as he listened to Artemeir’s question. The corner of his mouth pulled up slightly into a half grin. It was kind of ironic that he would ask something like that considering Kai was never to tell anyone where their home lay. “Around here, in the neutral lands I mean.” He said answering the question vaguely. “You looked like someone with a good amount money, so of course you wouldn’t know to many out here who live the forest areas.” Kai looked at him closer. “I’d say your some sort of noble who came out here for a stroll.” He continued with a small grin on his face. His arrogance was showing again.
Wrath was actually getting some of his anger back. If it were up to him, this elf would already know him as Wrath of the Seven Sins and would be killed instantly for being ignorant of who Kai was. Of course he had to ‘born’ third out of his seven siblings, which meant most of the decisions were made by Pride and Envy, the two oldest. Kai took one hand out of his pocket and ran his bladed fingers through his hair again. He had done this some many times before that now it was rare that he cut his scalp while running his fingers through his hair. He still had a scowl on his face as he talked to the other man.
“I’d ask the same to you. These areas are like my backyard, so I never really seen someone like you around. I’d know if I’d seen someone like you.” Kai said. It was true that he didn’t remember faces or names, but Artemeir seem to have a different air around him. One that Kai would have at least slightly remembered. He was itching for a fight now to see if this guy really was what Kai though he was. A strong opponent. First, however, he wanted to get a little more information on him.
