Thankfully he didn't need as much room as he normally did due to the fact that he had left his armour within the castle, after all an attack in the market would be stupid even for the dark elves to consider. Thus he wore some of the only casual clothes he had, a pair of blue jeans slightly pale like the sky marked with a few rips along the left leg from sparring matches he had taken as a child along with a extremely white shirt and a jacket which formed a strange color he had never seen before though it some how went with the rest of his attire. Fashion hadn't been a big part of his life partly due to both his parents wearing their own armour most of the time. It had just become like a family trait for him to partake in to keep them alive in his memories.
Hands pushed into his pockets once he reached the end of a narrow street merely looked through the stalls that appeared with the naked eye to carry on for miles. Light elves never did anything by half. Felix sighed running his hand over a strange wooden device made for children that would speak out various phrases if squeezed, it made him laugh for a second before the owner ran over a large cheesy grin on his face. The light elf turned to leave ignoring the dealers plea's dropping the toy back to the desk unable to resist to the urge to turn back no expression upon his face. "I have no children to give them too"
Felix carried down the market yells echoing along with him like the sounds were chasing his figure on his travels as if they were following the knight hoping to gain important information which of course was impossible. No one could control the shadows to follow someone like a dark messenger at least he hadn't met anyone who could perform such magic, he himself could control the element of thunder either summoning it from the heavens or equipping it with his weapons and armour causing any foe that he struck with either item to go in a state of paralysis. Still a shadow stalker that would be a new one. Laughing the pathetic thoughts away the sounds died out the elf meeting the quieter part of the market. It was just as filled as the males last destination however most items in his current position were for collectors the kind who would examine the items in absolute silence before staking pathetic amounts of money.
He only needed to shake his head to attract attention which unfortunately he did so. "Hi" he muttered a slight wave from his right hand earning him a few glares and a lot of people pushing a finger to their mouths telling him to shh. Felix rolled his eyes carefully walking away his back towards the wall for fear that the crowd would just charge at him. A slight laugh escaped his lips as he reached the way he came yelling back towards the quiet group to lighten up earning him a few choice words that most children would of loved to learn. "Now what Tarian?" he asked himself his beast being left at the castle.
She had been injured in the last battle the pair had earning her a good few days rest though she of course wanted to leave as soon as she woke up. Felix hadn't left her side until that very morning when his Tarian basically forced him to go reminding him that he forced her to stay so she forced him to go to the market to enjoy himself and get out of the stuffy castle while he still could. Neither of them liked being surrounded by walls their stone build only offering slight protection from attack while limiting mobility and air, outside was where the duo belonged.
It was strange for the pair as never had they been apart it just wasn't something that appealed to either of them. A bond between a beast and their rider was fate, it was pure and holy and everything that anyone would ever need. They made each other complete. Felix standing on the pavement just wished that she was outside with him then.

Which she knew was no longer true. She wasn't like anyone else in this crowd anymore. She was a dark elf now after all. It only confused her that she felt so at home in the crowds. Outside, she walked through the crowds without a care but inside she was in complete turmoil. Her destination was close approaching. Her grandfather lived near here, where her mother used to live. The man was old now, reaching his end so whenever he saw Karla he would think it was her mother returning home. So, when she could find the time, she would leave the dark kingdom and step into the light to be the shadow of her mother, coming to visit her grandfather. Part of her hated this feeling that her grandfather could never know it was his granddaughter who was at his side. The lady who took care of him had been easily convinced that Karla was just a distant cousin who cared for the old man. Which she counted her blessings for. Tacitus didn't like the hussle and bussle of the market and decided to wait for her on the outskirts of the city. It had become a routine to them. Her grandfather had been a seller of fine antiques made through out Gira. He had made enough to retire in peace, especially when Karla's mother, Sandra had married to a noble. Her mother was sure to send him a bit of money to keep him from losing his home in rough times, he would accept no more than that. Fiercely independent her mother had called him and said that Karla had gotten that trait from him. As a child she had only met the man a small number of times, due to him being so close to the palace and the threat of the king over her entire family's heads. She clenched her fists at the thought of the deceased king. He had killed her mother in cold blood. What kind of man does that? He was more a villain than Karla could ever be, even as a dark elf. She shook those thoughts from her mind as she neared the quieter part of the market. Her grandfather could be found on one of the side streets, which she headed towards now. Her hair was completely down today. Even her little tie at the bottom was missing. She wore the girly-est outfit she could find, a stunning white sundress with a matching white hat. It was an outfit her mother used to wear, although she was more endowed than her daughter so it didn't fit completely right in the front. Her mother had teased Karla that she probably would suffer the same fate as her by not getting endowed until her first child. That thought still made Karla blush a bit. When her mom had said it, it hadn't been fully understood. She had only been about 11 at the time but now it meant that she had to lay with a man first and then bare his children. She doubted she could pull in a good enough guy for that. He would have to be hot, kind, and funny, and cool, and strong, and... She couldn't help but giggle at that, something she didn't do often. A perfect guy was impossible to think about. With her luck she would end up with a man like her father. This thought irked her. That man was such a pain in the ass. She would never understand what her mother loved about him. He was too immature. She was so wrapped up in these thoughts that she did the one thing she hates doing, she tripped. Karla had let her guard down too much and as punishment, her klutziness jumped her. She tripped over something, though she couldn't be sure if it was a foot, an object or her own feet, and fell flat on her face. Her sun hat took this opportunity to escape, getting pushed away by a sudden gust. Karla sat there a moment before moving to get up. It was then she noticed that the gust had also moved her dress. She mentally cursed making sure her undergarments hadn't been exposed, and thankfully they hadn't but this distracted her just long enough for the hat to get further away. "Oh no! Crap!" She stood quickly, and began chasing her run away hat, not taking any notice to anyone who had moved to help her, focusing full yon her escaped hat. Straw hats. Leather hats. Baseball hats. Swimming hats. Football hats. Building hats. Felix never understood their purpose sure they kept the sun from a person eyes but couldn't people use their own hands? Besides that the only other way they could be used would be to swat insects or dust away. Thus as he saw a hat fly past he rolled his eyes being followed by some kind of female or at least it seemed to be a female by her features, figure and hair. The only thing that suggested otherwise was how flat chested she was, not that he was looking in that direction nor would he ever say that to the owners face after all most females had a complex about the whole chest size thing. "What an idiot?" the male muttered underneath his breath a small laugh escaping his lips noticing how the site before him was near identical to how he envisioned hats being a problem.
The knight twisted away from the commotion not even making the effort to look amused once the wind picked up slightly his only thought being on Tarian and hoping that her wounds were healing. Admittedly Felix knew that their were elves known as healers like Aphenria who the male had met just days before but their powers didn't work that well on Beast's, their DNA were different somehow being less likely for their wounds to fuse together under a heated temperature of the healing magic. Wounded or not Tarian would always be there. She was a friend. No. She was his family. "What do you think I should do?" he asked mentally to his beast his eyes closed hearing a response though of course it was just a guess at what the female would say <Chase a hat? Can you get anymore stupid?>
Laughing the knight took his hand to his forehead wiping a small drip of sweat with the back of said body part. Forcing his feet into the ground the elf pushed back jumping into the air to turn mid flight where he chased after both hat and it's owner. Chasing personal items wasn't in his job description nor did it bother him too much mostly because it would take him more than ten of his lifetimes to find just what the light elves had lost let along the whole world. Still he felt a slight twinge of sadness for the female as no one seemed to be helping her but said female wasn't going to let it escape either.
Knowing a small short cut Felix dove into the back roads charging behind the mix of wooden, brick and stone like hut's where the light elves spend their lives if not working at the castle. Footsteps echoed loudly against the walls the sounds rebounding back into his eyes circling around his brain. The male took a few turns coming out just in front of said female though the hat was flying inches higher than it had been before now out of reach. "Give you a boost?" he asked kneeling down as he held his arms out ready to push the female upwards the knight just wished that she wasn't afraid of heights or anything along those lines. Cosmoto's expression was hard to read feeling both incredibly stupid with a mix of concealed happiness at the thought of helping the unknown figure out.
He remained motionless awaiting for the pressure of gravity that would befall his hands sooner rather than later feeling a slight pressure within his chest. He had no idea who this woman even was nor did he have idea if the hat was even hers the only two things that he actually knew was one, she was chasing it and two he was helping her complete that task. Life wasn't a narrow path a lot of bumps carved their ways onto the road leading to the great times as well as the down ones. He wondered which path he would land upon after the female held the accessory within her hand.

It actually brought back a memory, but she didn’t allow herself to think on it as she once again reached for the hat only to have it retreat a few inches from her grasp. She heard someone cheering her on to catch it but not one person moved to assist her. Somehow, this pissed her off more so than the hat. She felt like an idiot but that hat was important, not only because it was Karla’s, but because it was her mothers. The hat travelled a bit further from her and she gave a gasp, thinking she might actually lose it. It was then that she heard footsteps behind her. She glanced back but the owner of the footsteps had gone a different direction. Guess she was alone in her race. Somewhat annoyed thinking that for light elves these guys were pure evil, she returned her all into pursuing her hat. It was getting a bit further with each passing second. Karla felt her heart sink when suddenly; a figure appeared in front of her. He went down and offered her a boost towards the escaping hat. Karla gave him a nod in response, her face serious as if he had asked her to join him in battle. She ran towards him and the hat, while tying her dress firmly around her legs, her only real asset. With a look of determination she stepped into his hands and felt herself pushed up into the air as she herself jumped. The result was her hair blowing in the movement and her hand touching the white material of the hat. She closed her hand over the rim of the hat and feeling the material in her hand, she smiled and laughed, before she found herself on the ground again. Only this time, the hat was in her hands and the dress, which she had tied up, was showing her laced underwear. She groaned while rubbing her head. “Ow…” She righted herself without noticing how she had exposed herself. The only hint she got about it was the giggles and cackles of those around them watching the spectacle. Her hair was a bit messy from the run and fall but she didn’t pay that any attention as she stood and reorganized the dress, the hat secured in one hand. Karla turned towards the man who assisted her but before she could get a word out, her eyes fell on his armor. A soldier… Her once grateful expression turned to a blank and almost cold look. “Thanks…” Her voice had a hint of disdain in it before she messed with her hair into a symbol of order and placing the troublesome hat on her head. She gave a quick short bow before turning and walking back the way she came. After one step she felt a searing pain in her right ankle. She instantly dropped and removed her weight from her ankle as she hissed in pain. She heard her beast in her head asking if she needed his help but she said no, it would only make a bigger scene. He conceded but if she wasn’t out of there in a few minutes he was going to go to her. It had to mean something to the excited elf charging toward him hair flowing behind her in such a long wave that it seemed like a black sea was chasing her. Peasants yelled some in shock others in frustration yet no one moved instead watching the site of the two figures chasing a hat, oh the thing's Cosmoto would do just to help one person out. He could hear Tarian laughing inside him head explaining that she was never ever going to let him forget his hat retrieval mission. "Shut up" he exclaimed to the beast.
His knuckles pressed the concrete floor the rough surface pulling at the soft strands of his skin scraping across the substance to pull a small chunk off said skin away. Felix gritted his teeth ignoring the small momentarily stab of pain. It was funny but the smallest of injuries seemed to cause the most pain and or damage, at least that seemed to be the case with the solider. It was the very reason he usually didn't go anywhere without his armour realizing that the protective metal could protect him from most impacts of damage, both large and small. Though that factor didn't stop his beast from yelling in his head concern oozing from her speech. <Felix what's happened?> He knew instantly that she was trying to get up, ready to be by his side no matter her injuries.
"I'm fine" the male hissed out loud while sending the thought towards his beast at the same time "Don't even think about trying to find me, I just cut my finger no need for you to get all fighter fury on the floor because I think it will win" Felix hated using his mind to talk feeling that it was unnecessary plus lacked a connection, yes it was like being inside someones head which he knew in itself was a strong connection but when someone spoke face to face it represented so much more. It expressed their emotions, their personality and their should while the telepathy with a beast could sometimes be cold, distant and lifeless. He knew Tarian didn't feel the same way about it as her rider but respected him all the same for sticking to his own views instead of going with the crowd. Neither of the pair wanted to be just another solider. They were individuals, special. They were going to always be just that.
Sighing Cosmoto rose to his feet the female muttering a simple thanks in his direction before walking off knowing that Tarian would of huffed in offense. "No problem" he said quietly wondering if she could be any more ungrateful "I wasn't busy or anything" A slight growl in his throat he turned to walk away from the frankly ride female yet noticed her stumble and the wince of pain. Instincts kicked in and he rushed forward yet again reaching out his hands to catch the woman before she fell however she descended at such an alarming rate that she hit the ground far sooner than he had even moved. Still he was the only one that seemed to be willing to help her out though he didn't know why, it wasn't like she was a dark elf. "We're making a habit of this" he exclaimed with a slight grin and a raised brow at the fact of him helping her. Again. Would he be helping the accident prone female anymore? It depended on her response.
A worried frown creaped upon his features diverting his attention to the females ankle which upon noticing forced him to his knee grasping a closer look at the injury. It wasn't broken nor was it bad enough to warrant a healer, she would just need to rest for a few days. "It's fine, nothings broken but you need to rest it so no more chasing after hats okay?" he informed out being unable to hide the small mention of her chase making the joke more apparent with a large grin to match his previous statement. Feeling a silent moment coming along Felix opened his mouth preparing to ask just about anything to stop a silence, those kind of conversations just made the light warrior cringe..You here just for fun?"
