[STYLE=width: 325px; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 5px; text-align: left; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px;] personalityCalm and controlled. Very few things ever take Xander by surprise, and when things do start getting out of hand, he rarely shows it. A raised eyebrow, a soft sound of disbelief, but other than that? Nothing seems to shake him. He never lets his anger get the best of him, and though he'll occasionally get a bit annoyed, he never lets emotions affect his decisions.
Cold and distant. Though his relative lack of emotion is helpful in keeping his head in battle, he can come off as a bit scary toward other people. The whole idea that others can get sad or mad is a bit beyond him, and he's rather oblivious to others' suffering.
Good leader. Long years of training have taught him to be a quick and efficient leader. He's perfectly capable of taking orders, of course, but when worse comes to worse he's not afraid of raising his voice.
Submissive. Though in a crisis, he’ll step up to being a leader, he doesn’t like it. Frankly, he doesn’t much like people in general. He’s prone to being bossed around, and hey, as long as its a logical order, he’ll just lower his eyes and do what you ask.
Loyal. He isn't really one to be all mushy-feel-y to others, but if you get to know him, he's incredibly reliable to get you out of a pinch.
Emotionless. Yeah. Pretty much. If you can make him respect you, he'll stand by you to the end, but it's more out of a sense of duty than any real affection.
Determined. Nothing in the world will get in the way of his goals. He's confident in his swordsmanship, and isn't afraid of a bit of pain if it means he can protect those he cares about.
Stubborn. Not really in the sense that he won’t take orders- if you order him to back down, he’ll gladly do so. But if you assign him something to do, and it half kills him, he really doesn’t care. Even if a task is practically a suicide mission, he has absolutely no qualms about going through with it.
Courteous. He's kind of got the knight-in-shining-armor thing going on. Helping the damsel in distress, etc, etc. He can't stand seeing a girl or a kid in trouble, and is a total sucker for a pretty face.
Easily manipulated. Like I said, he's a sucker for a pretty face. All you have to do is threaten someone: "Do what I say, or the girl gets it!" He'd be completely in the palm of your hand.
Strong sense of justice. He literally cannot stand the sight of an injustice being done. The desire to hand out thorough ass-kickings to evil villains is etched permanently into his heart.
Fixated on rules. His sense of justice tends to go a bit overboard. The moment someone so much as bends a rule, he's all over them with cold fury.
Street smart. He's incredibly educated in the ways of the wild. From tough experience, he can tell when to enter a fight and when to back down. He's also pretty good at using his power, and though he doesn't like it much (seeing magic as "dishonorable"), he isn't afraid to use it. appearanceI'd love to say that your first impression would be his snowy, rebellious locks of hair, or perhaps his shockingly teal eyes, or maybe the massive sword upon his back. But sadly, I'm afraid that would be a lie, for first impressions of Xander are always, always of his height. You see, he's... Ah, how do I say this. Vertically challenged? Standing at a pathetic unique height of 4'4", he appears downright childlike. It's a common misconception that he's eight or nine rather than a full sixteen, and it's one of the incredibly few things that can set off his temper. If you'd like to keep your head, I'd suggest not mentioning it at all...
But let's say that you miraculously manage to not comment on his height. A second glance will show you pale skin and surprisingly delicate features. His face is angular, almost pixie-like, and often described as adorable- though only ever behind his back. For despite his innocent appearance, his body is surprisingly muscular, holding a wiry sort of strength. He's built to be agile, a born runner, and it makes him a rather formidable opponent.
His fashion sense is nothing remarkable, simple clothes of black and white. There's a certain white leather jacket he's grown fond of, and during formal occasions he's been known to wear some sort of traditional robe... thing, but other than that? Nothing really noteworthy. His appearance stands out as it is, without some ridiculous wardrobe. historyThe Frosts were a well-known family with a good reputation. They weren't nobles, were never as lucky as that, but warriors, swordsmen. A long line of the King's personal guards, the Frosts were, extremely trusted by the Elders and liked by all. His father aged gracefully, becoming an important military commander even as his body began to weaken with age; his mother was an elven archer, had defended the castle her whole life. Despite the attention they received, they were quite simple people. They lived in their humble little home, worked long hard hours at the castle, and generally kept to themselves.
Their two sons were, of course, their pride and joy, both boys showing great potential for swordsmanship from a young age. Yet, it seemed that Xander was always the lesser of the two. The younger. The smaller. He certainly never received the same attention as his brother, four years his elder. Yet he did the best he could, throwing himself headfirst into any and every challenge. He earned himself a reputation being cold, almost vicious in his steely determination to win. It was expected that the both of them would become soldiers, some of the kingdom's finest.
Yet, as we all know, good things never last. With the rise of the Dark King came the fall of the Frosts- his brother, the pride and joy of the castle, had turned. It seemed that the ambition for power had been too much for him. In the very first battle of the war, Xander's father fell to his eldest son's blade, not expecting the betrayal and thus not defending himself. His mother, too, was lost to the bloody fighting, leaving him orphaned and disgraced at a mere ten years old. That day, distraught and ashamed, he wandered into the forest. He stayed for days, mourning, until some twist of fate brought him face to face with his beast. Somehow, the creature managed to convince him to return home, try to salvage what remained of his life...
Though the royal court has never quite forgiven him for his brother's betrayal, in the six years since then he's managed to rebuild at least a part of his reputation. Granted, he's colder, far more antisocial, but he's a good soldier. And in these troubled times, it seems that it's the only thing that matters... [/style]
